Anne Burrell

Anne W. Burrell has been a chef and television host in America as well as an instructor at the Institute of Culinary Education. She's the host of Secrets of a Restaurant Chef on the Food Network and the co-host of Worst Cooks in America. Anne Burrell's Food Network show Secrets of a Restaurant chef is a hit with her signature spikey blonde locks and pump up personality, explains the basics of cooking that anybody can learn. Chef Burrell is also a part of some of New York's top establishments, studied Italian cuisine and its traditions, and participated in Food Network's Iron Chef America. As a child in the upstate of New York, Chef Burrell was captivated by cooking and food from an early age. She pursued her passion for the restaurant industry by enrolling in The Culinary Institute of America following the completion of a bachelor's degree in English as well as Communication at Canisius College, Buffalo NY. She states "I loved being a Culinary Institute of America student. I was awed by every moment." The Culinary Institute of America was a fantastic place to study. Following her graduation, Chef Burrell went on to spend one period of time in Italy attending an Italian Culinary Institute for Foreigners while working at La Taverna del Lupo in Umbria and La Bottega del 30 a one Michelin-starred restaurant located in Tuscany. While in Italy the chef acquired an appreciation for and knowledge of Italian food. This had an enormous effect on the way she thinks about food. Burrell is a part of the Garden of Dreams Foundation Advisory Board which helps brighten the lives of children facing difficulties. She also serves as an Juvenile diabetes research foundation Celebrity Ambassador. she promotes the awareness of juvenile diabetes. In her capacity as a guest speaker and teacher she travels across the U.S. to share her love for cooking and professional career. In her journey to culinary excellence, Anne has always said I feel so lucky to be able to share my true passion for life with people.
