Sadie Amara Calvano has become popular for her role as Violet Plunkett that she played in CBS sitcom Mom. Calvano grew up in California she was initially attracted to in competitive gymnastics. Then, she chose to be an actor. Her first screen appearance was an episode in 2010 of CBS's 'NCIS. A year later her first major-screen debut made it into the biographical drama film J Edgar. She has become one of today's most promising actresses over the last few years. She received a nomination in the Young Artist Award, Best performance by an Actor in the Younger Years of Actress in a Television Series due to her performance in the show "NCIS". The actress was also nominated 2013 for an additional Young Artist Award, this time due to her performance as a guest actor on the comedic show of Disney XD 'Kickin' It'. Calvano had a role in the ensemble cast of Mom for its first three seasons, and also appeared at least a few times in the fourth. She was awarded the Gracie Allen Award in 2015 for the Best Female Actor - Rising Star due to her performance in 'Mom'.
